was born in 1915 in Shiniva in Eastern Poland. In 1938 he immigrated to Israel, married late Bracha Gorodishitz and became one of the pioneer settlers on the lands of Hazarzur bordering on Mlabis (later to become Petah Tikva). Late grandfather (saba) Yaakov Kofman Orchards were of the greatest interest in those days, but grandfather, a man of vision and action was also a pioneer in vegetable growing in Hazarzur. He watered his crops from a well in one of the orchards this well located in an ancient structure together with a reservoir near it are the beating heart of the garden venue for special events that has been built in Saba's orchard. Beside the orange trees laden with fruit from which emanate an intoxicating scent, the seven species have been planted creating a place that combines Saba's vision of the connection between a man and his land in the beautiful pioneering spirit of building the country.
